Displayco Canada, Western Canada’s leader in exhibit design and build, has an immediate requirement for an Graphics Technician to assist our rapidly expanding Calgary location. Displayco Canada, with over 30 years of business success, is experiencing unprecedented growth in all facets of its operation. This position is in response to this growth and increased service requirements for our existing and expanding client base.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for color correction, pre-flighting and preparing files. You are organized and have a good eye for color and detail. Experience with large format digital printers is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Preflight and prepare client-supplied files for large format vinyl, inkjet, and direct to substrate printing
- Digital retouching and color correction
- Retouching and file manipulation
- Handle multiple projects with aggressive deadlines
- Track order status and maintain log in database
- Quality-control check proofs and completed graphics
- Provide technical support to external clients and Designers
- Communicate with Customer Service Department, and Clients regarding graphic order status and issues
- Archive art upon completion of job
- Pantone/color matching
- Manage each graphic order from start to finish
Qualifications:
- Two years experience in print and electronic media
- Proficiency in Mac environment and Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with Quark, Illustrator a plus
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of printing and production
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with hardware and software
- Good communication skills and the ability to listen actively and ask questions to clarify a project’s goals, requirements and deadlines
- Flexibility with the possibility of staggered shift work
